The Plenary of the Haría City Council approved this Wednesday the general budget of the corporation for this 2024, which amounts to a total of 10,519,081 euros.
From the Government group they highlight that “this is the largest budget in the history of the Haría City Council, which exceeds the previous one by more than three million euros, and which will reinforce investment in areas such as social policies and public services of the municipality to guarantee the improvement in the quality of life of our neighbors”.
The municipal representatives point out that these new budgets include more than one million euros of investment with own funds that will focus, fundamentally, on the commitment to the modernization of basic public services, attending to each and every one of the neighborhood demands, especially those of the most disadvantaged groups.
The municipal accounts for this 2024 also include items to improve the accessibility and safety of all the towns in the municipality, as well as the improvement of rural roads; the economic support to the primary sector and the commercial fabric of Haría to favor the creation of new jobs.
Likewise, they also highlight the increase in aid to students, which goes from 35,000 to 50,000 euros, being one of the municipalities on the island that invests the most in this area.
The municipal government also highlights the increase in investments in other areas, such as social assistance for the elderly and dependent people, waste management and the environment, parks and gardens, cleaning, cultural activities or civil protection.
These investments are completed with the implementation of different projects by the City Council, among which are the renovation of the vehicle fleet, the improvement in road safety or the remodeling and modernization works of the municipal market, among others.
