Three years after the passage of storm Delta, according to complaints from the PIL, which is part of the Government Group in the Cabildo, "the rofe cover that many sandpits lost has not yet been repaired." Therefore, they have presented a motion urging the First Institution to request funding for its repair from the Government of the Canary Islands and to include it in the Community's 2009 budgets.

And, according to the pilistas, "the data collected and studies carried out to assess the demand for rofe on the island to repair the effects of the storm amount to three million euros that would be required to replace the necessary material."

From the PIL they remember that "on the island of Lanzarote the enarenados crops become indispensable, due to their hygroscopic qualities, to avoid the semi-desert aridity of the island, and these were seriously affected, especially in the north and mountainous area of Lanzarote".
