The owners of Ginory are claiming another 5,749,725 euros from the Arrecife City Council “as interest in accordance with the settlement”, according to the PSOE, which accuses the PP mayoress, Ástrid Pérez, and her CC partner Echedey Eugenio of "trying to hide" this information.
"The horrible management carried out by Coalición Canaria and the PP could generate more interest in favor of the property of the land, and against the City Council, which should pay other new amounts", add the socialists, who point out that the property has also requested the Court to add to the payment "the corresponding interest for delay in the payment of the interest that is still pending”.
"The advance of the money that both Echedey and Astrid defended as a millionaire saving not only does not save a euro, but can generate new interest in favor of the property, and against the City Council. And all after asking for a millionaire loan", questions the PSOE, referring to the credit requested by the City Council to pay the debt, and for which "they advanced 22 million".
From the Socialist Party they refer to a document dated January 24, "which has been hidden by the government of Coalición Canaria and the Partido Popular", and which "makes it clear that the entry of more than 22 million euros on December 31, was made without an agreement with the property for the settlement of the amount owed". The spokesperson for the PSOE in Arrecife, Cristina Duque, is "stupefied" and denounces that "paying more than 22 million euros of public money recklessly demonstrates the contempt that both Echedey and Astrid Pérez have for the money of the citizens of Arrecife”.
In addition, she insists that "this new government has become the best friend of the Ginory property". "Since the PSOE was expelled, all that has been done are millionaire operations in favor of a very disputed property”, explains Duque. “First both formations voted against the urgency of the plenary session that could stop the payments of the land on December 20. Then the extraordinary plenary session was delayed to January 5. This gave them time to secretly pay more than 22 million euros, all on New Year's Eve. Subsequently, they voted in favor of all the PSOE motions, to manipulate public opinion, without any of them having been fulfilled to date. Then payments worth another 288,000 euros have been hidden, and now a document appears in which not only do we not save money, but it can also generate new interest, and all with the request for a millionaire loan from a bank”, says Duque.
The PSOE warns the government group that it will remain "vigilant" and that it will "not allow the lies and manipulations of Echedey Eugenio and Astrid Pérez to go unpunished in the city of Arrecife". “The PSOE will guarantee to the people of Arrecife that they will know at all times what this government group does with the money of the citizens”, adds Cristina Duque.
