The mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, has appointed the former councilor Fátima Viñoly as advisor to the City Council, as stated this Wednesday in the Official Gazette of the Province.

According to the decree signed by the mayor, Viñoly will occupy "the job of Coordinator of Municipal Services, reserved for Temporary Personnel, with the powers and dedication that appears in the job description and the remuneration of 29,400 euros gross per year distributed in 12 monthly payments and 2 extra payments (June and December), being subject to the regime of officials, except in terms of appointment and dismissal".

Fátima Viñoly was a councilor of the southern City Council for the Canarian Coalition and she remained with Ángel Domínguez in the government with UPY after her party ordered them to leave after breaking the pact. At that time they stated that "they did not share the way in which the party has proceeded to break, unilaterally, the government agreement".

"We believe that it is a mistake caused and incited by people without the capacity for dialogue and with a clear intention to end the pact for electoral interests and not for the municipality", they pointed out. For its part, the Canarian Coalition announced that they would be expelled from the formation after that decision.
