The mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, and the first deputy mayor, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, councilor responsible for the Local Police, accompanied by its Chief Officer, Javier Machín, learned firsthand about the new vehicles that have been incorporated into the mobile fleet of Teguise.
The two cars, an SUV "with all the safety equipment", and a "latest generation" accident report van, with a portable office, evidentiary breathalyzer, TETRA stations and signaling elements, have been financed with funds from the Teguise City Council, with an investment of more than 80,000 euros.
"The new cars will help the Local Police to provide a better service and attend to any incident with all the guarantees, improving the response of the agents in the event of an emergency," said the mayor, Oswaldo Betancort.
For his part, as head of the area, Miguel Ángel Jiménez positively valued this new investment for the Local Police, "since investing in the modernization of its fleet is also investing in the occupational safety of the police officers themselves, as well as in the safety of citizens, who are ultimately the people we owe as public servants."
