The transformation work of the LZ-405, the road that connects Teseguite and El Mojón, has already been awarded by the Public Works area of the Lanzarote Council. The Vice President and Head of Public Works, Jacobo Medina, assures that with this award, "a commitment to the residents of both towns in Teguise is fulfilled." "This is a historical demand of all local citizens, and with this work, we will transform a road in poor condition into a completely new one."

The main need to be satisfied is the "improvement and correction of the functional and structural characteristics" of the LZ-405 road (Teseguite - El Mojón) in order to "reduce possible risks, achieving safer and more comfortable circulation on it, both for motor vehicles and cyclists." In addition, "repair of areas where puddles form due to rain, affecting circulation" will be carried out.

The Island Council of Lanzarote has already acted on the two roads that lead to the north of the LZ-405 road through the island's cycling route, so to continue improving the quality and safety of island infrastructure, the "rehabilitation of the pavement" of said road will be carried out.

With the renovation of horizontal and vertical signage, "greater road safety" is achieved for circulation during daytime and nighttime hours. The placement of physical barriers provides protection against unevenness.

The work has been awarded to the company Herederos de Juan Acuña S.L. for a total amount of "701,091.96 euros", and they will have a period of "three months" to execute the work once started.
