Verónica Rueda was elected this past Friday as president of the Youth of Nueva Canarias in the I Island Assembly, held at the newly opened headquarters of this political party in Arrecife - Triana street 37. The new president, was excited about the new challenge she has at her fingertips, highlighting in her speech "the commitment she has with the youth and the importance that this sector has within the organization of Nueva Canarias".
The I Island Assembly of Youth of Nueva Canarias, which had as its motto "We are the present" was attended by Mario Bordón, representative of the youth of Gran Canaria, Luis Campos, parliamentarian and Dunia González, mayor of Santa Lucía.
The Assembly was formed by 40 young members of Nueva Canarias in Lanzarote, who worked during the last month and a half in three communications related to the current problems of the youth of Lanzarote.
Moycana Hernández presented the communication "Unaffordable housing for young people", Rodrigo Pérez spoke about "Young entrepreneurs " and Brigitte Alarcón, who was also appointed secretary of organization, analyzed all the difficulties that currently has "The Canarian culture in Lanzarote"
The first executive with the new management team will be held next Friday, November 10.
