The Government of the Canary Islands maintains the weather pre-alert situation throughout the Archipelago due to adverse phenomena related to high temperatures, according to predictions received from the Meteorological Institute of the Canary Islands and in compliance with the Specific Plan for Civil Protection and Emergency Care.

Authorities report that in the north of the islands of Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, maximum temperatures of 36 degrees Celsius may be reached. On the summits of these same islands, a maximum of 34 degrees is expected.

In the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, similar temperatures are maintained, as maximum temperatures of 34 degrees are expected in La Palma, El Hierro, Vilaflor and La Orotava, in Tenerife. In La Gomera and southwest of Tenerife, maximums of 34 degrees are also expected throughout the day today.
