The Federation of Hospitality and Tourism Businessmen of Las Palmas (FEHT); the Hotel and Extra-Hotel Association of Tenerife, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro (Ashotel); the Island Association of Hotel and Apartment Businessmen of Lanzarote (Asolan) and the Association of Hospitality and Tourism Businessmen of Fuerteventura (Aehtf), emphasize the "null impact of the general strike in the Canary Islands hotel sector, with a participation of employees in the sector that barely reaches two percent."
The Canary Islands hoteliers, who have been monitoring the general strike since the early hours of the morning, emphasize that "the day is developing with total normality." In this sense, the hoteliers point out that there have been "no notable incidents" and that the guests "have been attended to with total normality."
The Canary Islands tourism employers' associations appreciate the attendance of the sector's employees to their jobs in these "complicated moments." "Thanks to the effort of all of us who dedicate ourselves to this sector, we will be able to move forward," they point out.
