The Court of Instruction Number 2 of Arrecife has agreed to the provisional dismissal and filing of the case against Narciso Pérez, the local police officer who resided in one of the houses of the La Destila school and who was charged with an alleged crime of occupation of real estate, after the complaint of the Arrecife City Council. The house has already been evicted and walled up by technicians from the City Council.

In the order, dated April 23, it is explained that after having carried out the investigation procedures to verify the commission of the reported criminal offense, "the perpetration of the crime that has given rise to the formation of the cause is not duly justified." Therefore, it agrees to the provisional dismissal of the proceedings and the filing of the present case. This resolution is subject to appeal.

Narciso Pérez has expressed that he is "very satisfied with this judicial resolution" because it seemed "very serious" to him that both the mayor and the rest of the councilors had "the audacity to be participants in this complaint." "I was charged with a crime, knowing that I am a public official of the Local Police, which could have caused me a very serious problem in my profession," he told La Voz.

"They have attacked me personally"

Pérez believes that the government group "has attacked" him and his profession. For this reason, he is also considering suing the City Council, although for the moment he will "gather all the public appearances, especially those of Mrs. Paca Toledo." "Every week this woman interpreted a different sentence. It's like when she talks about the economic items. First there are 300,000 euros, then 61,000 euros, then I don't know what. It's an incredible thing," he criticized.

Among the statements made by the Councilor for Education, Narciso Pérez was angered by the fact that she said that he had voluntarily handed over the keys to the house in La Destila. "I never gave it to her or any technician. Let them ask how they opened the door. I know that it was not necessary to force the door because there are very good carpenters in the City Council and in the school there are more than 20 master keys. It has been painful and it is clear that they have destroyed me or have tried to destroy me," lamented the local police officer.

Furthermore, he does not understand why the councilor said that the other inhabitants of the houses in La Destila would leave when this local police officer left. "It is that even in that the councilor is a terrible fortune teller," he said, while saying that they, who were also denounced by the City Council, "are not going to leave there."

Narciso Pérez has assured that he is not going to "remain silent." "They are not going to restrict me, especially now. In my capacity as Staff Delegate, I will continue to denounce everything irregular and anomalous that exists in the City Council. They have put me in the middle, they have crushed me publicly and they have messed with my family. I will never forgive them for that," he stated.
