With the new incorporations in the tourist town of Tías, the catalog of Civil Guard personnel planned for Puerto del Carmen is completed, amounting to 90 agents, as explained this Tuesday by the island director of the General State Administration, Carmelo García Déniz. The arrival of these agents was planned before the wave of robberies in premises in Puerto del Carmen occurred, mainly, which has taken place in recent weeks, in order to cover the positions that were vacant of those 90 personnel assigned to the coastal town
Carmelo García Déniz believes that with the increase in the number of civil guards on the street, security will be "good", although he believes that until now, "it was not bad." He highlighted the growing collaboration to work for security between the Civil Guard and the Local Police of Tías.
The Government Delegate in Lanzarote has reported that San Bartolomé will incorporate 16 of the new agents, Yaiza will keep 3 and at the Guacimeta Airport another 3 will carry out their work.
