The Cabildo is studying the purchase of a house located in front of the Church of San Ginés to which "the UNED could be moved or "an agricultural market could be created." "Different options are being considered," said the vice president and Minister of Public Works of the institution, Jacobo Medina.
For now, according to what he explained, the Cabildo requested an appraisal of the property, which has been set "at 223,000 euros." "Because you know that public institutions can only buy homes in accordance with the appraisal they make and the report of the architect of the Cabildo itself," Medina specified.
However, the vice president of the Cabildo and Minister of Public Works has pointed out that the property claims 350,000 euros for the house, so it will be necessary to negotiate to see "if an agreement is reached."
"Hopefully the purchase can be carried out," added Jacobo Medina, who stated that the intention to buy this house has also "been conveyed to the president and the government group." "And everyone understood that the Cabildo also has to acquire this type of heritage," he assured.
Regarding its use, Jacobo Medina pointed out that it will be when "the purchase process begins", in case an agreement is reached with the owners, "where it is established and where a consensus is reached in the government group." "Some talk about moving the UNED, others about creating an agricultural market, but I don't know. There are different options that can be given," insisted the vice president of the institution.
