The Cabildo of Lanzarote has once again launched a public tender for the management and operation of the La Santa youth hostel, after correcting "various procedural steps" that arose in the previous call, which had to be canceled. The Official Bulletin of the Province of Las Palmas (BOP) publishes this announcement this Wednesday for a tender amount of 360,000 euros for the management of the hostel for the next 10 years.
The public tender will be carried out through ordinary processing and an open procedure, according to the Cabildo, which has assured that the opening of this infrastructure was "one of the commitments" acquired by the government group in this legislature.
With this tender, this infrastructure that has been closed on the island since 2008 will be put back into operation and fully active. "It will offer on the island another complementary alternative for the practice of sports, environmental, educational and youth recreation activities," said the Minister of Youth, Migdalia Machín.
The facilities, which are located in the municipality of Tinajo, have dormitories, a dining room, a library, multipurpose rooms and sports courts. It has a capacity of 120 places.
