The Cabildo of Lanzarote has decided to extend the deadline for submitting applications to the call for subsidies for competitive cultural projects until May 11, inclusive.

The first island institution has also chosen to simplify the procedures for applicants, who "will no longer have to submit certified copies of their documentation since its authenticity is accredited through their digital signature." "In this way we manage to facilitate all the procedures for those interested and speed up the procedure of a file that is so necessary and demanded," explains the Minister of Culture of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Alberto Aguiar,

Budget and duration

The subsidies for competitive cultural projects have a budget of 100,000 euros, which represents an increase of 25% compared to the last call dating from 2017.

The execution period will be extended until December 31, 2022, "due to the difficulties posed by the extraordinary situation we are suffering." However, the Cabildo does not rule out a new call in 2022, according to the Minister of Culture.

Online procedures

All procedures to apply for aid must be processed through the website https://proyectosculturaleslanzarote.fulp.es/, thanks to the agreement signed between the Cabildo de Lanzarote and the University Foundation of Las Palmas. The website has been operational since last Thursday, February 25.
