The President of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, has reported that, currently and after the activation of the protocols established in case of suspected Covid-19 contagion among the members of the staff, this Corporation remains a safe and coronavirus-free environment.
Corujo wanted to publicly thank both the workers of the first Island Institution and the Security and Health Committee for their support, prompt response and immediate collaboration in each and every one of the actions that have been carried out, following, at all times, the recommendations of the Health Department and the Cabildo de Lanzarote's own Occupational Risk Prevention Service.
For the president, the work carried out by the Councilor of the Human Resources Area, Rosa Mary Callero, and the Councilor of the Health Area, Juan Manuel Sosa, "has been fundamental in the effort to achieve a safe environment for both the staff of the institution and the hundreds of people who access the Cabildo House facilities daily."
Finally, la president has insisted on the need to continue fulfilling social and individual responsibility in the face of the pandemic we are experiencing and has reminded both the Corporation's workers and the rest of the population of the convenience of taking extreme precautions and complying with health recommendations, using masks, maintaining personal distance and practicing good hand hygiene.
"The institutions can put the necessary means to stop the transmission of the coronavirus, but only individual responsibility, the solidarity we owe each other, will allow us to end the pandemic," Corujo concluded.
