The Board of Directors of Insular de Aguas S.A. has formulated this Friday its accounts corresponding to the year 2020, which present a profit of 651,039 euros, after taxes.
“This is an essential previous step”, points out the CEO of the entity, María Dolores Corujo, “to liquidate the budget of the past year and, therefore, free up the surpluses that will allow the Cabildo of Lanzarote to face the investments and projects necessary to accelerate the economic recovery of the island”.
According to the Cabildo, "among the most outstanding figures of the formulated accounts, it is worth mentioning the net amount of Inalsa's turnover, which contracted from 2,993,274.38 euros in 2019 to 1,674,295.87 euros in 2020". In this regard, they point out that this is due to the “reduction of electricity consumption during the period of strictest confinement and, therefore, to a drop in the price of energy due to the decrease in economic activity, on the one hand, and to the fall in electricity consumption of the island's business fabric, especially the tourism industry, on the other”.
Regarding the average payment period to suppliers, they highlight that it is 29.7 days, “despite the difficulties posed by the pandemic to our management model”.
