The Arrecife City Council establishes a special night bus service for the San Ginés festivities

The Arrecife City Council has reported that it will have a special municipal bus service during the San Ginés Festivities. According to the consistory in a statement, from this Friday there will be an extension of the route, with a special route and schedules until the night.

The mayor Yonathan de León has pointed out that this service is implemented experimentally to progressively favor the mobility of citizens throughout the city, especially between the neighborhoods and the Arrecife seafront.

The Councilor for Mobility and Transport of the Arrecife City Council, Mario González, has detailed that from his Area a “Special Public Transport Service has been established, with a specific line and route that will operate at 11:00 p.m., 11:45 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. Until this Friday, the services of the Urban Buses of Arrecife had their schedules established until 10:30 p.m.

Lines L1, L3 and Radial have their schedules established until 10:30 p.m. With this pioneering measure in the Municipal Bus Service of Arrecife, a special line is established, which will make a route that covers the peripheral areas with the epicenter of the stages where the activities take place by Sangineles. Informative posters with the route and special schedules have been installed at the stops.

With this measure, which is implemented coinciding with the patron saint festivities of Arrecife, the City Council intends to progressively reinforce the bus service, where the incorporation of new buses is scheduled after the bidding process. The decision of the Government group led by Yonathan de León is to make it possible, in the short term, that, during the celebrations of festivals or mass events in the capital, the Urban Bus Service can operate at night, with special routes.

Councilor Mario González has detailed that this service will operate on August 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 23 and 25, the festivity of San Ginés, where a large concentration of attendees is also planned for the Gente de Zona concert and the night of fireworks, in the surroundings of El Reducto beach.
