The 25 flights departing and arriving at Tenerife Norte airport from El Hierro and La Palma, as well as connections with Gran Canaria and Madrid, have been canceled due to poor weather conditions, as reported to ACN Press by sources at Spanish Airports and Air Navigation (AENA).

In El Hierro, 3 departure and three arrival flights to Tenerife-Norte airport have been canceled, as well as the departure and arrival to Gran Canaria.

In La Palma, the 6 departure flights from Tenerife to La Palma, and the 7 from La Palma-Tenerife Norte, have been affected, as well as the departure and arrival flight to La Palma with Gran Canaria, and the departure and arrival to Madrid.

According to AENA sources, cancellations will continue for the time being until weather conditions improve.

Waiting

It should be remembered that La Palma airport suffered more than 50 cancellations this Tuesday for the same reasons, which caused hundreds of people to have to wait at the facilities until weather conditions improved.

According to the National Institute of Meteorology, the orange alert remains in the Canary Islands due to the risk of wind, which may be strong in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with gusts of up to 120 kilometers per hour, and 100 km/h in Las Palmas.
