Tender for the parking annexed to the Molina Orosa Hospital in Lanzarote

The Cabildo of Lanzarote has initiated the process of awarding the work of the parking annexed to the Molina Orosa Hospital that will allow to enable, at least, one hundred new parking spaces.

“The decongestion of the access areas to the Dr. José Molina Orosa Hospital of Lanzarote is a pending issue on the Island, and this is one of the immediate commitments to be fulfilled in health matters by the new Government group, which will ensure that this work can be materialized in a few months”, said Betancort.

 “I would like to congratulate the Contracting area of the highest island institution, as well as the Works technicians because, at last, we will be able to solve a pressing problem, both for hospital users and for healthcare personnel”, added the president during his visit to the area of the future parking annexed to the hospital center located in Arrecife, to which he was accompanied by the vice president, Jacobo Medina.

"Through the Canary Islands Development Fund (FDCAN) we have allocated almost half a million euros for this highly demanded work", said Jacobo Medina as Minister of Public Works, assuring that “with these 100 new parking spaces the urgent need of the citizens of the Island will be met”.

Call for the procedure

Last Tuesday, July 25, the publication in the Contractor Profile of the Island Council of Lanzarote of the file and the call for the simplified open procedure for the tender of the aforementioned project, drafted by the technical team of the Public Works area and co-financed by the FDCAN with a budget of 448,383 euros, was carried out.

This project has the corresponding Basic Safety and Health and Construction and Demolition Waste Management Studies, as well as the Quality Control Plan and favorable supervision report, and includes several units adapted for vehicles of people with reduced mobility or disability in the 2,466 square meter plot adjacent to the current External Consultations parking of the hospital.
