The Teguise City Council has published in the Public Sector Contracting Platform the contracting file for the organization and execution of the Famara Total sporting event, with a total of 120,000 euros for two years and with a deadline for submitting offers that ends on February 21.

From the Consistory they point out that the mountain race that takes place in the surroundings of the Risco and the beach of Famara in the month of August, recovers this edition "all its tests" with seven different modalities: the Vertical (5 km), on August 18; the Chinija, on August 19, whose distance will depend on the age of the registered minors; and the trail test, on Saturday, August 20, with several options: 7.5km, 15km, 30km and 45km, in addition to the possibility of walking its shortest distance accompanied by an interpretive guide.

In total, this new edition designed by the Sports area of the Teguise City Council may host 1,330 participants and recover the philosophy with which it was created, bringing together trail lovers, among them, professionals from all over the world, to travel the imposing Risco de Famara.

“It is a test that has been consolidated over the years and that generated great expectation due to the uniqueness of the natural landscape through which it runs, and we hope that the evolution of the pandemic will allow us to relive that atmosphere of healthy competition that, in addition, contributed every month of August to boost the town of Caleta de Famara”, said the mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort.

“The contracting company must ensure the sporting quality, organizational excellence and satisfaction of all participants by offering the best services, while continuing to position Teguise as a sporting destination,” said the Sports Councilor, Gerardo Rodríguez.
