Teguise finishes resurfacing the streets

The project has cost almost three million euros to repave the towns of Tahíche, Nazaret, Costa Teguise and Guatiza

The Teguise City Council, through the Roads and Works area, concludes the resurfacing and horizontal and vertical signage of the access roads to the Villa de Teguise (Guatatiboa street, Las Amapolas, José Fajardo Morales, Tazacorte, Tamaranca, Jaime Balmes, Dulcinea, Mimosa, Malvarosa, and Pámpano street), and has started the repaving works of the towns of Tahíche, Nazaret, Costa Teguise and Guatiza

This resurfacing has cost almost three million euros. Likewise, the City Council is preparing a next phase to repave the main streets of the Historic Center of the Villa and has drafted two road renovation projects worth 15 million euros that will be requested from the Island Council as a Municipal Cooperation Plan, and that will affect a total of 80 streets in the towns of Soo, Muñique, Tiagua, Tao, Tomaren and Mozaga, as well as Los Valles, Teseguite and Los Cocoteros.

On the other hand, the acting councilor of the area, Eugenio Robayna announces that, in the town of Costa Teguise, Buganvillas street and surroundings, and Chafarí street and near the new soccer field of Costa Teguise will be repaved.

Olivia Duque, as acting councilor of Contracting, also announces that a total of 1.2 million euros to modernize the electrical and fire-fighting installations, as well as the accessibility of the soccer field, the ball field, petanque and the pigeon fancier club and the covered pavilion of Tahíche, is already in the bidding process.

For his part, the acting mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, has expressed his commitment to "activate new Municipal Cooperation Plans that attract future investments to Teguise", and recalls that "the institutional machinery continues to materialize all those demands of the population that, in addition to the paving plan, includes opening new outdoor leisure spaces, such as the courts and playgrounds of Tahíche".
