The Teguise City Council, through the Festejos department, will open on Monday, September 21, the citizen participation process to choose the allegory of the Teguise Carnival 2027. The vote will be carried out through the municipal website, www.teguise.es, and will remain available until October 2.

For this edition, four proposals with different themes and styles are presented: “Tropicalia, sabor a Carnaval”, “Latidos de África”, “Steampunk, la fábrica del tiempo” and “Un Carnaval de locura, Teguise en el País de las Maravillas”. The option that obtains the highest number of votes will be chosen as the official allegory and will serve as the common thread for the image of the Teguise Carnival 2027.

The mayor of Teguise, Olivia Duque, highlights the importance of involving citizens from the earliest preparations for the celebration. “We want neighbors to have a voice in choosing an important part of our Carnival and to be able to decide what theme they want to see in the streets next year,” she points out.

For his part, the Councilor for Festejos, Andoni Machín, explains that “we wanted to present four very different proposals with many possibilities for developing the Carnival's image, costumes, floats, and atmosphere”. He also encourages citizens to participate in the vote and be part of the selection.

The Teguise Carnival 2027 already has its dates defined. Costa Teguise and La Villa de Teguise will celebrate their main events from February 15 to 21, while the La Graciosa Carnival will take place from March 4 to 7, 2027.

The voting will remain open from Monday, September 21 to Friday, October 2 through the Teguise City Council website, www.teguise.es. Once the deadline closes, the proposal that has received the most support will be chosen as the allegory for the La Graciosa, Costa, and Villa de Teguise Carnival 2027.
