The Trade Union of Education Workers in the Canary Islands - Intersindical Canaria (STEC-IC) has achieved, pending official confirmation, the greatest representation after the elections held this Thursday among teachers of non-university public education in the Islands. STEC achieved 25 delegates to the Personnel Boards (17 in Las Palmas and eight in Santa Cruz de Tenerife).

Following the nationalist union is the National Association of Teaching Professionals (Anpe) which achieved 21 delegates (five in Las Palmas and 16 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife). Comisiones Obreras (CCOO) is the third union force in Education with 14 delegates (eight in Las Palmas and six in Santa Cruz de Tenerife).

The fourth organization with the most representation was Interim and Substitute Teachers of the Canary Islands (Insucan) with eight, followed by Asamblea de Docentes Canarios (EA-C) with seven delegates. The General Union of Workers (UGT) achieved seven and the Canary Union of Licensed Teachers (UCPL) four.
