The San Bartolomé City Council has paid the sports subsidies for the 2023 season to sports clubs, municipal schools and municipal athletes with a presence in San Bartolomé. These aids, of 135,000 euros, will benefit a total of 16 entities and more than a thousand athletes between boys and girls, young people and adults.

The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, has stated that the subsidies “respond to the City Council's commitment to promoting local sports and seek to guarantee that athletes of all ages can continue to develop their activities.”

For his part, the Councilor for Sports, Alexis Hernández, has recognized the need to promote sports practice in the municipality, as well as the promotion of healthy lifestyle habits, “so from the City Council we are at the service of all entities so that they can continue to develop their activities in the municipality.”

In total, the San Bartolomé City Council processed 40 applications for the three types of subsidy: support in the participation of municipal sports entities and/or individual athletes not linked to these, in travel to regional, renowned and/or high-level sports events; maintenance of municipal sports entities; and maintenance by organization of municipal sports schools.

To these aids, corresponding to the competitive concurrence modality, we must add the 168,500 euros already delivered this year 2023 as ‘nominated subsidies’ for municipal sports entities.
