The Department of Social Welfare, Equality and Immigration of the Arrecife City Council, under the direction of Maite Corujo, announces the expansion and improvement of the Municipal Reconciliation Services, reinforcing "its commitment to family reconciliation and social inclusion." The new contract, published on the Public Sector Procurement Platform, "introduces two fundamental novelties aimed at responding to the demands of the municipality's families."
On the one hand, the service of attention to functional diversity is incorporated for the first time in the Municipal Reconciliation Camps during the holiday periods of Christmas and summer. This measure represents a significant advance, since until now there was no specific resource for minors with functional diversity in these camps, thus covering "a need long expressed by families and guaranteeing equal access to leisure and family support."
On the other hand, the "Reconciling Afternoons" service is created, a pioneering initiative that offers care and recreational-educational activities in the afternoon during the school period, from Monday to Friday. This service is specially designed for those families who find it difficult to reconcile work and family life in the evening and will be developed in different socio-cultural centers in the neighborhoods, bringing the resource closer to the entire population and promoting equal opportunities.
The object of the contract is the integral management of these services, aimed at minors between 3 and 12 years old, through the provision of specialized personnel and adequate equipment to guarantee the quality and safety of the activities. The contract is divided into three lots: Municipal Reconciliation Camps, Reconciliation Camps specialized in attention to functional diversity, and the new Reconciling Afternoons service.
The base bidding budget amounts to 246,100 euros (230,000 euros without taxes), with an estimated total value of the contract of 690,000 euros for an execution period of one year. Interested companies can submit their offers electronically until May 12, 2025 at 13:00 (Canarian time).
Councilor Maite Corujo has highlighted the importance of these improvements and states that "we continue to advance in attention to families and in equal opportunities. The inclusion of attention to functional diversity in the camps and the implementation of the Reconciling Afternoons are a step forward so that no minor or family is left behind. We want all families, regardless of their circumstances, to be able to access quality services that facilitate reconciliation and the well-being of children in our municipality."
The bidding procedure is open and ordinary, allowing bidders to opt for one, several or all lots, with the possibility of a maximum award of three lots per company. The contract contemplates award criteria that value both the technical and pedagogical proposal and the price, the provision of human and material resources, as well as the realization of complementary activities.
