The councilor of the Canarian Coalition, Sergio Machín, has responded to the restructuring that the President
of the Cabildo has made in the department of Waste, Classified Activities
and Emergency and Security, which until now was
led by the nationalist councilor.
"Given the announcement made public by the President of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, where the
current Department of Waste, Classified Activities and Security
and Emergencies is restructured, I want to convey the following considerations to the Lanzarote public
through this statement:
FIRST.- I want to express my surprise and perplexity at the measure adopted by the
President of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, to restructure the current department that I have been
leading during the course of this legislature. Especially when this decision
occurs at a time when I am on medical leave by prescription.
SECOND.- I want to express how surprising it is, due to what it implies of
EGOCENTRISM, the fact that such restructuring and degradation is carried out in
favor of the President of the Cabildo of Lanzarote.
THIRD.- I want to state that directing a department such as Security
and Emergency, in no case implies a contempt for the excellent
professionals who perform their work in this area.
FOURTH.- Once I have rejoined the Cabildo of Lanzarote, after
my medical leave, I will make public my future decision regarding my current status as
elected councilor of the highest island institution".
