Tías holds a security meeting with the Insular Directorate, Civil Guard, and Local Police

During the meeting, different aspects related to citizen security in the municipality were addressed, especially in areas of greater attendance such as Puerto del Carmen

Security and coordination between police forces focused the meeting held this week at the main facilities of the Tías City Council between representatives of the General Administration of the State, the Civil Guard, and the Local Police.

The mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz Saavedra, and the insular director of the General Administration of the State, Pedro Viera Espinosa, held a working meeting in which the commander of the Civil Guard Company of Costa Teguise, Antonio José Teruel Alberich, the lieutenant of the Puerto del Carmen Post, Paula Crespo Gómez, the brigadier of the Civil Guard Traffic and the head of the Local Police of Tías, José Antonio Hernández García, participated.

During the meeting, various aspects related to citizen security were addressed in the municipality, especially in areas of high attendance such as Puerto del Carmen, as well as the coordination of joint operations between the Guardia Civil and the Local Police.

Likewise, the current needs in terms of personnel and resources were analyzed, with the objective of improving the response capacity to incidents and reinforcing police presence at strategic points within the municipal area.

Both the mayor and the island director highlighted the importance of maintaining constant collaboration between administrations and security forces to guarantee the tranquility of residents and visitors, especially in a municipality with high tourist activity.
