Saray Rodríguez's team has denounced "irregularities" and "lack of impartiality" of the Organizing Committee of the PP Congress and has requested the suspension of the Congress.

In a statement, they state that they have sent a letter to the Organizing Committee but that, "in the absence of a response", they have appealed to the Committee on Rights and Guarantees of the PP of the Canary Islands.

Among the "irregularities" denounced by the team of the pre-candidate for the Presidency of the PP, is "the inability to access the census of affiliates at the party headquarters as stated by the president of the Organizing Committee in contradiction with the statements of the former secretary, Ángel Vazquez", also denouncing "the impossibility of having an independent observer to verify the correct counting of endorsements and the requirements established to endorse one of the candidacies".

"If this was not enough, and once the cut of 80 endorsements is passed, and this candidacy having presented a total of 160 endorsements, a total of 68 endorsements were rejected, without delivering any record or report specifying who are the affected people who will not be able to participate in the Congress, something that we still do not know at this time, a matter that is not minor because in the registry of delegates we do not know with whom of those people we can count on", they add.

Another "irregularity" they claim that "occurred after the resignation of Angel Vázquez, due to the partiality he showed in the media supporting the candidacy of Mrs. Perez, being secretary of the Organizing Committee of the Congress (COC), which is required by the regulations to be impartial". "This irregularity is substantiated insofar as the Insular Board of Directors is the only body competent to appoint the members of the COC, which did not happen, being the president of the COC himself who appoints Vazquez's replacement", they explain.

Finally, they state that "impartiality is also questioned when the president and the secretary of the COC are direct subordinates as advisors to Mrs. Perez, the official pre-candidate".
