The press office of the Canarian Coalition in the Cabildo has sent a brief statement on behalf of Pedro San Ginés, who has declined to make statements after learning that the General Council of the Judiciary has requested police escort for the judge investigating him, after receiving threats.
"My legal services are studying this matter, which we consider extremely serious," the former president of the Cabildo limits himself to point out in that brief note.
As Canarias Ahora has advanced, the threats reported by the magistrate came from the "environment" of those investigated in that case, which led to the search of Pedro San Ginés's home on March 28. In addition, the Council of the Judiciary has also requested judicial and police reinforcements to investigate this case, given the magnitude of the procedure.
After learning the news, San Ginés states that he has received "multiple requests" from the media, to which he has not responded. "A press conference will be convened, most likely at the beginning of next week," he announces in that statement sent by CC.
