The Playa Honda Civic Center hosted the closing ceremony of the 'Training and Alternation Plan with Employment San Bartolomé energizes the population', aimed at unemployed young people under 30 in the municipality without specific training, thus being able to "obtain a certificate of professionalism related to the activity performed, in this case, energizing leisure activities".

The City Council notes that 15 students "have been trained and worked in energizing with all age groups, receiving accreditation after these 11 months in which they have developed theoretical and practical training in public spaces", thus giving "visibility to the objectives achieved by both the working students and the team". During the event, diplomas were awarded to the working students as well as recognition "for the work done and involvement in the municipality".

These 15 people, according to the City Council, have had the opportunity to have access to work "through learning and professional experience, and while receiving remuneration of 75% of the interprofessional salary". Through this program, it has been possible to hire "20 unemployed people, 15 students and workers and 5 people" who make up the multidisciplinary team in charge of carrying out the project together with the City Council and the SCE.

The mayor, Alexis Tejera, and the Councilor for Employment, Alma María González, together with Jorge Guevara, section technician of the Canarian Employment Service, have closed this plan, "wishing them that the training has met their expectations, that they have made the most of the experience that has given them the opportunity to obtain a paid qualification while also acquiring the necessary skills to be able to practice a new profession".

In this way, they point out from the municipal government, "new doors are opened in the labor market with the certification "Dynamization of leisure activities and educational children and youth free time" of level 2", obtained during this period, and most importantly, "they have had a practical, personal and professional learning, achieved through experiences in the sector, within the municipality, since they have created, programmed and developed different activities for the population in general".

Both the mayor, Alexis Tejera, as well as the Councilor for Employment, Alma María González, and the representative of the SCE, Jorge Guevara, thanked "the effort made, encouraging them to continue training always since the labor market is increasingly demanding, emphasizing that the City Council and the Canarian Employment Service will offer support as far as possible to promote labor insertion".

The City Council also emphasizes that the Training and Alternation Plans with Employment "are financed by the Canarian Employment Service, in this case with an amount of €311,326.85", with the students having the follow-up of a team made up of 5 people, including teachers, coordinator and project director and the dynamization in different municipal spaces and resources and with all age groups.

The mayor insisted that "the City Council has established a series of priorities for the programs that have been taught in these two years, having special interest in programs whose training purpose was to specialize unemployed people so that they have access to work in professions related to dynamization in centers for the elderly and socio-cultural centers, or as in the case of the PFAE "San Bartolomé with the people" that worked directly with the elderly of the municipality". The two PFAEs, adds Tejera, "have affected the child and youth population on the one hand, and the elderly on the other, being groups that have expressed clear vulnerability at this time".
