The mayor of San Bartolomé, Alexis Tejera, and the councilors of Transportation, Raúl de León, and Employment, Alma María González, met this Friday with the Minister of Transportation and Employment of the Cabildo, Nerea Santana, to address, among other issues, strengthening employability in the municipality through specific plans. Santana reported that a "Employment Plan" will be launched "shortly" from the first island institution.
On the other hand, Tejera requested economic collaboration through a subsidy to support a plan of the City Council that "helps alleviate the difficult situation experienced by the unemployed in the municipality." Among other topics, they discussed employability proposals that will come through the FECAM to alleviate the unemployment situation caused after March 1.
In terms of transport, Aexis Tejera requested the councilor to adapt the schedules of the regular transport line to provide a solution for the entry and exit of high school students in the municipality who have school hours in the afternoon shift.
Tejera thanked the councilor for attending this municipal request, her presence in San Bartolomé and her good disposition, emphasizing that it is vital to support our unemployed from all fronts with employment plans, training and employment workshops.
