The opposition parties of the Tías City Council, Partido Popular and Coalición Canaria, have announced that they will challenge the plenary session of the municipality's budgets, after both parties abandoned the telematic session due to the "technical problems" that existed.

"Authentic circus, grotesque mockery and lack of seriousness and respect towards all citizens and their representatives in the plenary session". This is how the CC councilor, Amado Vizcaíno, has defined what happened in the plenary session this Tuesday, which due to "technical incidents" even started "more than twenty minutes late".

"We understand that there are technical failures that occur and cannot be avoided, but in this case, in addition, there was no reason for the call not to be in person except for the mere whim of the government group," adds the spokesperson for the Popular Party in the Consistory, Francisco Aparicio.

Along the same lines, CC even points out that the plenary hall of the Consistory "complies with the health measures established by the authorities". In addition, Vizcaíno criticizes that in recent weeks there have been "several meetings" in the same place, and that there have even been "cultural events in the Tías theater"

"A plenary session as important as the one for the City Council's budgets for the current year cannot be held in the midst of continuous cuts and audio failures, or without being able to speak because no one knows you are asking for the floor," details the PP councilor.

"The approval of the budget is one of the most important agreements that are adopted in public institutions in each year, and it is a shame and a lack of respect to the residents of Tias that the government has gone ahead with a plenary session in those circumstances," denounces Francisco Aparicio. Along the same lines, Coalición Canaria expresses its astonishment that, "for the first time in the history of the municipality", the municipal budgets have gone ahead "without the vote of the opposition, which has not even had it".

"Not only have they not stopped and postponed the plenary session due to the technical problems that were occurring, but they have gone ahead with such an important issue as the budgets and with the rest of the points included in the agenda, among which were the initiatives of both CC and PP, whose representatives were no longer connected to be able to defend them," laments the spokesperson for the nationalists, Amado Vizcaíno.

The Popular Party, for its part, also regrets the "uncooperative attitude" of the Government group for not considering "postponing the session".
