The patient who was affected by the new flu admitted to the Intensive Medical Unit (UMI) of the Doctor Negrín University Hospital of Gran Canaria has died this Thursday, according to the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands.
This death is the second to occur in Spain as a result of the A/H1N1 virus. The patient, according to data provided by the Ministry of Health, had evolved in a "not favorable" way in recent hours, since he suffered from a chronic pathology that was worsened by contracting the so-called flu A.
