The LEP party has presented Leticia Padilla as a candidate for Mayor of Arrecife from the Argana Alta landfill. “It was important for me to make this presentation here and even more so in Argana Alta, a neighborhood completely abandoned by those who have governed in recent years,” says Padilla.

“We are in a protected space, it is a jable pass and has landscape and environmental protection. Despite this, we are surrounded by garbage, debris and waste,” criticized the LEP candidate for Mayor of Arrecife. “In this land that we are stepping on right now there are toxic and polluting products” and with the maintenance of “this illegal landfill, the health of all of us who live in Arrecife is being compromised,” she adds. “My commitment begins here, dismantling this landfill and recovering the natural space,” Padilla points out.

The LEP candidate for Mayor of the capital city has emphasized that Arrecife “is a beautiful city, but it must be pampered and treated as what it is, a Canarian capital and the capital of the Biosphere Reserve”, she explains.

“I am going to work hard to transform it economically, socially and environmentally. I offer dialogue and consensus to those who love Arrecife as much as I love it, and I am going to work with whoever it takes to get it out of the well. My goal is to achieve a great pact for Arrecife,” says Padilla.

Finally, Padilla pointed out that “Arrecife is more than just advertising to sell to tourists” and that “negligence, apathy and political incapacity is a cyst that has been paralyzing the city for a long time and I am going to take care of tearing it out.”
