The Councilor of the Cabildo de Lanzarote of Vox, Óscar Pérez, has spoken in an interview this Tuesday on Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero, about the decision of the former Vox councilor in Teguise, Ginés González. "We have asked him to hand over the minutes out of dignity", the councilor pointed out. "The statutes establish some guidelines and those who do not want to comply with them, will have to submit their resignation".
In addition, the councilor has commented on some of the recent statements by Ginés González in the media. "The voters are Vox voters, he is not a well-known person, Ginés González is not being voted for", he pointed out. Pérez highlighted to the radio listeners that the former councilor has presented himself with "some acronyms, with knowledge and awareness of what the party is and its regulations and the main idea of the formation", he added about the reason that Ginés alleged to leave the party, accusing the leadership of "abandoning in the Canary Islands". For the councilor, the reason that Ginés has given is a "easy speech, which supports that of Coalición Canaria".
Regarding the rumors that Ginés González may end up in PP or CC, Pérez has made it clear that "it was already seen, it seems that he did not have his little foot in Vox, it was said that he was closer to other political formations". A question that has been dealt with for some time. "He has been asked since last year, but we have respected a colleague", he added.
"The Canary Islands cannot become a mere transit to Europe"
Regarding the statements of Vox and their thinking regarding the distribution of migrant minors who arrive in the archipelago, Pérez has pointed out that "the Canary Islands cannot become a mere transit to Europe". The arrival of these minors is, in his opinion and that of the party, a "pull effect". "The Canary Islands territory can no longer support the situation, with the agreement of the Canary Islands with the 6,000 minors, the boats have already increased", he said.
Finally, Pérez stated that "I have not said that they should be abandoned, neither I nor Vox, but that no more children should come". "Morocco has a sufficient system to welcome the boys and girls who are abandoned", he concluded.
