Only 10 people definitively pass the Local Police entrance exams in Arrecife, and five positions remain vacant

Of the 308 applicants who applied to fill the 15 new positions in the Arrecife Local Police, finally only 10 people have passed the tests. This has been confirmed by the councilor of the area, Cristina Marrero, after the court corrected the exams of the last exercise, which was held this Thursday.

In this way, of the 15 places that were announced in their day, finally five will remain to be filled, although, according to Marrero, now another 10 places will be put out to tender.

Regarding the 13 appeals that were presented after the previous exercise, they have finally been dismissed, Marrero said. The City Council had three months to resolve them and until this Thursday it stated that the matter was not resolved, but now it affirms that it already has a ruling although still, according to Marrero, "the decision has not been notified" to those involved.

The oppositions to fill the 15 positions of local police in Arrecife began last April, with a total of 308 applicants. A figure that was decreasing as the different tests were being held, with applicants who did not pass the selection process.

Thus, and after passing the different exercises, only 24 people faced the second part of the third test on August 16, consisting of a development exercise. Of these, only 10 passed it successfully and this Thursday they faced the last exercise, managing to pass it all of them.

Now, the new local police officers must pass a period of paid internships included in the selective process of at least 1,200 hours of effective service in the City Council.
