The president of the Local Committee of Nueva Canarias-Bloque Canarista (NC-bc) in Teguise, Belén Machín, wanted to respond to the latest events experienced these days in relation to the rejection of the extreme right of Vox to welcome any unaccompanied minor who is in the Canary Islands. An "unsolidarity" that has led to the departure of Abascal's party from the autonomous governments they maintained with the PP.
For Machín, “it is clear that Vox is not with the Canary Islands and its demands. It is not with solidarity and with help to these islands that are solely responsible for welcoming almost 6,000 unaccompanied minors”. The Canarianist comments that Abascal's party “have broken governments for not accepting the distribution of 470 minors, which is like saying that they do not accept 30 minors for each Autonomous Community. A real unjustifiable rip-off”.
That is why Belén Machín believes that “Vox cannot continue for another minute in the government group of Teguise, governing together with CC and PP who allow parties without any consideration for the Canary Islands and for human rights to have institutional and responsibility tasks”.
“Those who give coverage to parties that no longer hide their racism and their lack of solidarity with the Canary Islands do a disservice to Canarian society. I ask CC and PP for courage to dismiss the Vox councilor from his government duties out of respect for democracy, Teguise and the Canary Islands”, says Belén Machín, who recalls that the government group rejected last Tuesday to debate and approve a motion proposed by NC-bc to institutionally support the reform of the immigration law and the distribution of minors throughout the rest of the state territory.
