A new crisis in the Government of Teguise Group has been uncovered this Wednesday morning after the statements by Ginés González on the program Buenos Días, Lanzarote of Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero.

"I am not happy with certain things," the councilor for Local Police and Animal Welfare began by saying, who has assured that "if things don't change" he is going to convene the pact table.

The former Vox councilor, one of the partners that make up the Teguise Coalition Government, with Coalición Canaria and Partido Popular, has indicated that this very Wednesday he has a meeting with the mayor of Teguise, Olivia Duque (CC) and with the deputy mayor, Rita Hernández (PP) to convey his complaints.

"There are things to change, we must improve and I refuse to continue like this," he confessed during his radio intervention. Ginés González has assured that if there is no change in the way of working in the Government Group he is willing to abandon it. "I belong to the Government Group just the same and if that is the dynamic then don't count on me," he added.

For the moment, "out of respect for his colleagues", the councilor has decided not to publicly air the reasons that lead him to be discontent.

Second crisis in Teguise in a month

This crisis in the party occurs just a few weeks after councilor Alejandro Ramírez (PP) announced that he was leaving the Government of Teguise due to disagreements and lack of resources in the Department of Sports. A few days later, with the intervention of the party at a regional level and of the mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León (PP), the Teguise resident backed down and did not abandon the group.

Should González leave, the Government of Teguise would lose its absolute majority. However, the former Vox councilor has assured that he would not be part of any motion against the parties that form the current municipal Executive and that he would simply move to the opposition.

"We have had quite a few years to have changed certain things, corrected and to improve", he has finished.
