Nueva Canarias-Bloque Canarista (NC-BC) in Arrecife has renewed its local bodies with the aim of strengthening its political project in the capital of Lanzarote and facing the challenges of the next municipal term with guarantees, in which the organization is preparing to be key in the city's governance.
In the new local organizational chart, Servando Pérez Dorta takes on the General Secretariat, while Oliver Caraballo will be the new local Organization Secretary. Sheila Guillén continues at the head of the Spokesperson's office, ensuring the line of work and political communication developed so far. The Communication Secretariat passes to Nauzet Martín, and Delia Hernández takes on the Public Policies Secretariat.
The Equality and Feminism area will be led by Ana Morales, while Miguel Rodríguez will be responsible for the Strategy Secretariat. For his part, Helena López will take on the Training Secretariat, and the Secretariat of Young Canarians will fall to Miguel Rodríguez Rodríguez, reinforcing the organization's commitment to youth participation.
From NC-BC in Arrecife, priority objectives are set to continue defending the interests of the municipality's social majority, working to ensure no resident of Arrecife is left without a housing alternative, and building a city that cares for its inhabitants, making people the true protagonists
The organization also reaffirms its commitment to consolidating itself as a safe and dedicated option for those who believe in a local, Canarian, and Lanzarotean progressivism, based on proximity, social justice, and the defense of public servicesCanaristas also highlight that their project in Arrecife is made up of people without political baggage and without dependencies on public office, which allows for free, coherent political action focused exclusively on improving citizens' lives
