The municipality of Tías adds a new voice to its political panorama with the official presentation of Marea Viva, a citizen project that was born with the objective of "renewing the way of doing politics in the town". With all the records and legal permits already in order, this new initiative seeks to become an open, participatory and committed space with the social, economic and environmental development of the municipality.

“Marea Viva is the answer to a real need: to put people and the future of Tías at the center of political action”, its promoters emphasize.

The formation is presented as a plural, inclusive and close to the citizens project, which wants to "give prominence to ideas, proposals and neighborhood participation". From Marea Viva they are committed to a transparent, efficient and sustainable management model, with the purpose of offering solutions to the current challenges of the municipality: housing, employment, economic diversification, environmental protection and the improvement of public services.

A citizen project with its own identity

Marea Viva is defined as a different political movement, far from traditional structures and focused on building a realistic, collaborative and responsible roadmap for the future of Tías. Its commitment is to "give a voice to those who, until now, did not feel represented in the institutions".

“We want to add, listen and work together with our neighbors. Marea Viva is not born to confront, but to build a better future for Tías”, they point out from the new formation.

Next steps

In the coming weeks, Marea Viva will announce its work team, its main lines of action and the first proposals with which it intends to involve citizens in decision-making.
