ASSESSMENT
The Minister of Economy and Finance of the First Institution of the Island and member of the Commission, Luis Arráez, already informed the different City Councils in relation to this matter. "In general, everyone has expressed their satisfaction with this news, although some consider these amounts insufficient," commented Arráez, who added that "we wish to thank the great work carried out by the technicians and managers of the Cabildo and the City Councils of the Island."
Likewise, Luis Arráez highlighted "the sensitivity shown at all times by the Technical Commission and the Technical-Political Commission, which even extended the deadline initially established to present the documentation relating to the damages derived from the passage of the Delta through the Archipelago".
The next step will be the publication, by the Central and Regional Administration, of the corresponding decrees so that these damages are officially recognized. From here, the different institutions will be able to supplement their budgets and execute or pay for the appropriate works and repairs, given that in many cases work has already been carried out or started with their own funds.
