A promotion technician from Turismo Lanzarote traveled to Tenerife on Monday to take part in a workshop that took place this Tuesday at the Magma Arte y Congresos Center, in Arona. This activity was integrated into the program of events of the Fam Trip TUI Erleben Tour Kanaren that, organized by the German division of the tour operator TUI, is being held these days in Tenerife with the participation of 120 travel agents from that country.
TUI, one of the largest tour operators in the world, works in Germany with between 8,000 and 10,000 travel agencies. Since 2010, Turismo Lanzarote and this tour operator have maintained an agreement on promotional material.
The Lanzarote technician reported on the charms of Lanzarote and handed out abundant promotional material of the island to those who have the responsibility and the main job of making it known among their potential clients. In this way, the German expeditionaries were able to learn more about the singularities, particularities and riches of the product they sell, or are going to sell, Lanzarote in this case, in their travel agencies.
The workshop held in the south of Tenerife was attended by the Deputy Minister of Tourism of the Regional Executive, Ricardo Fernández de la Puente; the CEO of Tourism of Tenerife, Miguel Ángel Santos, and the managing director of marketing of Promotur of the Government of the Canary Islands, María Méndez, among others.
The presence of Lanzarote in this workshop held in Tenerife is part of the promotional activity carried out by the Turismo Lanzarote team "to keep the island's offer present in tourist markets that present us with possibilities for growth, even though they are fully consolidated".
German is the second international market in terms of volume for Lanzarote, only surpassed by the British. Last year, 330,994 Germans arrived on the island to enjoy their vacations.
