With more than 98.39% of the vote counted, the socialist candidate for the Senate for the island of Lanzarote, Manuel Fajardo has once again won by adding 38.30% of the support of the citizens of Lanzarote. At that moment of the count Fajardo reached 21,153 votes, far from the second classified, Jeziel Martín, of the Popular Party, who obtained 13,568 votes and 24.57% of the vote.
Fajardo has attended the microphones of Radio Lanzarote and has highlighted that "the results are magnificent." The winner of the Senate elections in Lanzarote has taken the opportunity to thank the candidates of other parties who have already congratulated him and especially "the work that all the members of the socialist party in Lanzarote have done, who have stood up for me," he said, "pounding all the streets of Lanzarote and La Graciosa."
In third position was the candidate of Coalición Canaria, Emilio José Machín, with 7,338 votes and almost 13.28% of the vote.
The Vox candidate, María Esther Tamargo, exceeded 10% of the votes, specifically 5,544 votes, thus obtaining the fourth position.
For her part, María Antonia Perera, from Sumar, obtained 5,365 votes and was about to reach 9.71% of the votes.
Finally, Belén Machín, from Nueva Canarias, obtained 1,316 votes, which represents 2.38% of the votes.
