Juan Gabino Cáceres has submitted his resignation this Wednesday as head of Civil Protection of Yaiza for "private matters". "I cannot attend to the body as I would like," he himself told La Voz.
Gabino Cáceres assumed this position in September 2016, after a restructuring of the body. In addition, he is a founding member in 2001 of the NGO Association of Volunteers in Emergencies and Rescue of Lanzarote (Emerlan), an organization of which he is also vice president. He is a port police officer in La Tiñosa, in the public entity Puertos Canarios, dependent on the Autonomous Government.
