José Montelongo, new director of the School of Social and Health Services of the Canary Islands

The Urban Planning Councilor of the Arrecife City Council and member of the Lanzarote Socialist Group, José Montelongo, will lead the School of Social and Health Services of the Canary Islands, after his appointment this Monday, July 24 by Fernando Clavijo.

Montelongo will leave the council a little more than a month after taking office. It is the second abandonment of the ranks of the Canarian Coalition, in the first place it was Pedro San Ginés who did not even take possession of it. After Montelongo's departure, number 9 on the list, Cathaysa Suárez Curbelo, will enter the city council.

José Montelongo has held positions such as mayor, first deputy mayor and councilor in various areas in the Arrecife de Lanzarote City Council.

Studies

Fifth year of a degree in Law from the Oberta University of Catalonia with accredited skills in information and communication technologies, and in mediation and arbitration in the same university center. Administrative technician from the Provincial Delegation of Education of Las Palmas, he has completed specific courses in the modalities of labor contracting at the Chamber of Commerce, practical accounting courses at the Center for Financial Studies and courses for the prevention of occupational hazards at Previs.
