The Municipal Theater of Tinajo has been the scene of an extraordinary plenary session in which the mayor, Jesús Machín, has made public the responsibilities to the councilors of the new municipal corporation of the City Council of Tinajo.
Machín has designated councilors Luis Miguel Pérez Berriel, Yurena Cubas Morales, Vianney Rodríguez Rodríguez and Jonathan Pérez Olivero as deputy mayors. In addition, he has appointed the following district representatives:
El Calvario, la Plaza and la Laguneta for Luis Miguel Pérez Berriel; Mancha Blanca, Los Dolores and Tinguatón for Yurena Cubas Morales; El Cuchillo, Montañeta and Caldereta for Vianney Rodríguez Rodríguez; La Vegueta for Jonathan Pérez Olivero.
La Santa district two and Tenésar for Macarena Olivero Bonilla; La Cañada and the coast for Adriana Brito Guillén and La Santa district one for Johana Raquel García Olivero and Tajaste for
Coraima Morales Quintero.
Machín has delegated the following council positions:
- Luis Miguel Pérez Berriel: Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Mobile Park and Transportation, Cleaning, Parks and Gardens, Roads and Works, Road Maintenance, Animal Protection Area and Cemetery.
- Yurena Cubas Morales: Security and Emergencies, Local Police, Civil Protection, Traffic, Road Safety, Personnel, Culture and Municipal Theater.
- Vianney Rodríguez Rodríguez: Youth, Sports, Industry, Commerce, Taxi and New Technologies.
- Jonathan Pérez Olivero: Festivities, Economy and Finance, Collection and Cadastre.
- Macarena Olivero Bonilla: Third Age, Beaches, Environment and National Parks.
- Adriana Brito Guillén: Music, musical and cultural groups, Agricultural Market and Municipal Radio.
- Johana Raquel García Olivero: Tourism, socio-cultural premises and Biosphere Reserve.
- Coraima Morales Quintero: Transparency, Housing, Citizen Participation and Crafts.
Machín explained that "the councilors of Tinajo are an example of work and capacity, I can start with Luis Miguel Pérez Berriel, Vianney Rodríguez, Yurena Cubas or Jotha, Jonathan Pérez Olivero, or what previous councilors like Eli or Joel did." "All my colleagues are going to be working and although some are released half-time they have to be available twenty-four hours for whatever is needed, you have to be everywhere defending the interests of the residents of Tinajo", he added.
