Izquierda Unida Canaria (IUC) has stated that in 2011, Canarian companies were the ones that "made the most donations to the Popular Party, with a total of 601,200 euros". In this way, the Canary Islands contributed the most to the PP's coffers, according to the leaks made by Anonymous from the alleged B accounting of this party, as highlighted by IUC, which has wondered "what kind of favors they will have received in exchange for said support."

In these Anonymous cables, different Canarian companies supposedly appear as legal entities. "One is Industria Panificadora Juan Sánchez Peñate S.L. and, on the other hand, the legal entity Juan Sánchez Peñate S.A. also appears. The Lopesan Group also made two donations of 100,000 euros each through two companies belonging to the Group, Áridos Canarios S.L., as well as the extinct Trabajos y Servicios Canarios S.L.", according to Izquierda Unida Canaria.

In addition, this party has stated that "recently" the Cabildo of Gran Canaria "favored said business group over RIU in the case of the Oasis." Likewise, Gestiones y Asesoramientos 3,000 S.L., "of M.A. Ramírez, president of the UD between 2010 and 2011, paid 150,000 euros to the PP."

This party has also pointed out that "the company El Patio S.A. donated 20,000 euros" to the PP, "the privatized Elmasa Patrimonial S.A. donated 25,000 euros; Iniciativas Bauma S.L. a total of 45,000 euros; the construction company Lanzagrava 10,000 euros and Moneyba S.L. 5,000 euros. This last company, according to UIC, belongs to the gynecologist Óscar Jiménez Rodríguez, who this year received the title of "Favorite Son of the City."

The left-wing formation has insisted that Promociones Horneras with 50,000 euros, "belonging to the businessman Ambrosio Jiménez" is also on this list of donors to the PP. "A few months ago he declared that he had given money to all the parties as a detail", IUC has assured. The company Construcciones Industriales de Tenerife, which "donated 10,000 euros", is also owned by him. The list of donors closes with Proyectos Inmobiliarios Las Arenas S.L. with 50,000 euros, Áridos Ramos GIL S.L. with 25,000 euros and Transportes Carballos S.L. with 1,200 euros.

Two Canarian companies, the ones that contributed the most from Spain

According to IUC, in 2010 the list of donations also includes the former company of M.A. Ramírez, and JSP "as the ones that contributed the most money to the PP in Spain, with 100,000 and 30,000 euros, respectively." In that year, the company from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria dedicated to the management of farms, evictions and defaulters Inis Consulting SL, with 6,000 euros", this party has pointed out.

What "surprises" IUC is that these companies "have benefited in recent years from the policies applied by the PP". "It is logical to ask if there is a direct cause-effect", he questioned.
