Intersindical Canaria (IC) assures that the Atlántica Handling strike planned for this Friday at the Canary Islands airports has not been called off, after the press published that the Binter ground staff has reached an agreement with the company.

In statements to ACN Press, Sonia Canino, representative of the union and member of the Company Committee that provides ground service to Binter, has specified that IC will hold an assembly in which it will determine what position the workers will finally adopt regarding the call.

However, she stressed that, in principle, the strike remains in the terms planned, that is, between 1:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., pending what happens at tonight's meeting.

Canino stressed that the union organization ignores where the information confirming that the mobilization is suspended came from and has transmitted to this Agency the "perplexity" of the members of Intersindical, an organization that does not agree with the pre-agreement reached by UGT with the company.
