The Equality Area of the Haría City Council, coordinated by Chaxiraxi Niz, has launched a program of events on the occasion of the International Day of Gender Violence, which is commemorated annually on November 25 to denounce the violence exerted by men against women throughout the world and demand policies in all countries for its eradication.
Thus, this Saturday, November 23, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the Mararía Women's Association will set up an information point at the La Tegala Sociocultural Center. Later, at 12:00 hours, a group of women from the municipality will stage the play Mujeres, written by themselves.
On Monday, November 25, at 11:30 a.m., a manifesto will be read in the Plaza de la Constitución, in front of the Town Hall.
