The call for scholarships for students from Haría corresponding to the 2021/22 and 2022/23 academic years is open this Tuesday. The Councilor for Education, Paula Montero, stated that the objective of the Government group has been to "solve the delays that beneficiaries have been suffering in recent courses and help students who study outside the municipality to cope with transportation expenses."
In addition, the councilor announced the commitment that in future calls the "amount" that each beneficiary will receive will be "increased". "In this way, we are catching up with the payment of scholarships and allowing the aid to represent a useful and effective economic boost during each school year," added the councilor.
The City Council reminds that the bases of these aids have recently been "modified" with the aim of "speeding up the procedures and increasing the amount" received by the students. Beneficiaries will receive a single amount of "150 euros", for those who study on the Island, and "700 euros" for those who study outside Lanzarote or the Canary Islands.
Students will have until January 18, 2024 to submit the applications for both courses, duly completed, the DNI, the registration of the course corresponding to the application, the payment fees, the certificate of residence and the registration to third parties and responsible declaration, which can be downloaded in the Forms section of the City Council website, to the Registry of Entry or the Electronic Headquarters of the Haría City Council. Applications for different courses must be submitted separately.
